Today Bethany Harrison’s campaign for the Republican nomination for Lynchburg Commonwealth’s Attorney announced the 11th and 12th Commonwealth’s Attorneys who have endorsed Bethany for the position.

Bethany has the support of both Marsha Garst (R), Commonwealth’s Attorney for Rockingham County and the City of Harrisonburg and Tracy Quackenbush Martin (I), Halifax County Commonwealth’s Attorney.

Bethany Harrison is the only candidate to be endorsed by a Commonwealth’s Attorney.  Those who do the job and know what it takes to get the job done on behalf of those they serve know that Bethany Harrison is the only candidate with the experience and leadership to be the Commonwealth’s Attorney the people of Lynchburg deserve.

Ms. Garst writes:

I am happy to endorse a fellow Republican, Bethany Harrison, for the office of Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Lynchburg. In my almost 20 years serving as the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Rockingham County and the City of Harrisonburg I’ve always made it a priority to get violent criminals off the streets and obtain justice for the victims of crime.  Successfully doing the job takes experience and a passion for advocating on behalf of crime victims. Bethany Harrison has the experience, having served for over a decade under Mike Doucette, an accomplished and well-respected prosecutor.  Bethany also has that needed passion for the job. She has my full support.  I encourage my Republican friends in Lynchburg to go to the polls and vote for Bethany Harrison on June 13.- Marsha Garst (R), Rockingham County/City of Harrisonburg

Ms. Martin writes:

I have known Bethany Harrison for a number of years since my own election in 2013.  I have found her to be a seasoned prosecutor and leader.  Bethany exhibits the traits any community would want in its Commonwealth’s Attorney:  a deep commitment to justice, a passion for her community, a wealth of experience as a litigator, and a history of effective management and leadership.  Prosecuting for more than ten years, she possesses specialized skills and training in a host of violent crimes, including capital murder.  She is ready to use those skills for the people of Lynchburg.  A seasoned prosecutor knows her decisions stand to impact not just a single case or individual, but rather, the safety and security of everyone.  Bethany is already acclimated to making prosecutorial decisions, and supervising others, with a view toward the broader impact of each case.  Every community deserves an attorney as committed and knowledgeable as Bethany Harrison to make the hard decisions the job requires.  She is ready to fulfill the demands of this office on day one.  Lynchburg needs the highly capable leadership of Bethany Harrison to spearhead its charge for justice.  I wholeheartedly support her in her desire to serve Lynchburg as its next chief prosecutor.  I encourage you to vote for Bethany Harrison for Commonwealth’s Attorney on June 13. – Tracy Quackenbush Martin
Commonwealth’s Attorney, Halifax County
