Amherst County Commonwealth’s Attorney Lyle Carver Endorses Bethany Harrison
Bethany Harrison has received the endorsement and support of Amherst County Commonwealth’s Attorney Lyle Carver. Carver is the 15th announced endorsement from a currently serving Commonwealth’s Attorney. He joins the sheriff of Amherst County, E.W. Viar, endorsing Harrison. Mr. Carver also joins the Commonwealth’s Attorneys of every other neighboring jurisdiction to the City of Lynchburg endorsing Bethany Harrison to become Lynchburg’s next Commonwealth’s Attorney. Given that Amherst County and the City of Lynchburg are only separated by the width of the James River, the two jurisdictions must frequently work in concert to bring offenders to justice and ensure the safety of their residents. As Chief Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney, Bethany Harrison’s work is known throughout Central Virginia’s law enforcement community. Mr. Carver gives her his endorsement saying:
I enthusiastically support Bethany Harrison to be elected as the next Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Lynchburg. As the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Amherst County, I work closely with the Lynchburg Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. I know Bethany and I know the excellent work she does. Bethany has over a decade of service as a prosecutor helping to make her community a safer place to live. She has the courtroom experience necessary to handle any case. As Chief Deputy, she has the experience in her office to be an effective leader. She has what it takes to be the next Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Lynchburg, and I ask everyone to vote for her on November 7th.
Lyle Carver, Amherst County Commonwealth’s Attorney
