Today Bethany Harrison announced she has received the endorsement of Tim Martin (R), Augusta County.  Mr. Martin becomes the 5th Commonwealth’s Attorney to endorse Bethany Harrison’s campaign for the Republican nomination for Lynchburg Commonwealth’s Attorney.  Mr. Martin has extensive experience prosecuting violent crime and knows that the complexity of violent felony prosecution requires a prosecutor with experience and proven capabilities as a courtroom litigator. He recognizes that Bethany Harrison is the candidate who possesses those necessary qualifications, writing:

I enthusiastically endorse Bethany Harrison to be the next Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Lynchburg.  Bethany has the experience, the track record and the relationships built over the years to serve the citizens of Lynchburg well as Commonwealth’s Attorney.

I began my career prosecuting cases in the City of Richmond.  It was there that I learned how challenging and complex prosecuting cases can be.  This is particularly true when it comes to violent felonies.  Experience is invaluable and a close working relationship with law enforcement is critical to the successful resolution of those cases.

I am now the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Augusta County.  I know that as the Commonwealth’s Attorney those close working relationships with law enforcement are even more important.  The final responsibility for the successful resolution of violent felony prosecutions rests on your shoulders.  It takes capable leadership to succeed.

I have no question Bethany has what it takes to be a successful Commonwealth’s Attorney and help keep Lynchburg safe.  I urge my friends in Lynchburg to vote for Bethany Harrison on June 13.
-Tim Martin, Augusta County Commonwealth’s Attorney

Mr. Martin joins fellow Commonwealth’s Attorneys Mike Doucette (I), City of Lynchburg; Paul McAndrews (I) Campbell County; Vincent Donoghue (R) Essex County and Mike Caudill (R) Goochland County endorsing Bethany Harrison’s candidacy.
